There is a fascinating Reddit thread right going now where someone found a lost travel journal from the late 90’s. In classic form, the internet is jumping into trying to find the owner of this incredible travel journal which has intricate detail and meticulous organization. Do you know who this travel journal belongs to?

Posted in the r/Australia thread by u/DoubleRiver, the journal appears to have been written between 1999 and 2000. It currently has nearly 900 upvotes and 70 comments.

I found someone’s amazing travel journal. Please help me get it back to its original author. It was sitting in the top cupboard of an apartment I rented in Yarraville. It was written mostly in 99-2000 and it makes me feel weirdly free perusing it. I bet the author would love to relive these memories from r/australia

The images below, from the Reddit thread, highlight some of the pages shared by the poster. The journal has meticulously organized columns, hand drawings and including clippings from trips along with some foreign currency.

Thus far, the super sleuths of Reddit have determined who the owner is from Passport stamps contained in the journal. It appears the journal may have belonged to someone from either Australia or New Zealand named Nick Boyle. Although no one appears to know who or where that person is.

Some people are speculating the journal may belong to a regional band named Ziko that has a bandmate by the name of Nick Boyle along with a fellow bandmate named Kris. A Kris is mentioned in the journal and it appears to fit the APAC region discussed in the journal.

No word yet, but it appears the owners may have reached out the band to see if it theirs.

Nick…if you are out there…is this journal yours? The internet wants to know. (We also are mildly impressed with your journaling skills…wow).
