American Airlines flight 2575 was diverted to Baton Rouge Airport on Sunday after experiencing a medical emergency on board.


American Airlines Flight 2575 (AA2575) made an emergency landing at the Baton Rouge Airport (BTR) on Sunday after one of its passengers experienced a medical emergency. The flight, which left the Dallas Forth Worth Airport (DFW) on Sunday around 10:30 in the morning was estimated for the Miami International Airport (MIA).

According to FlightAware, the plane landed at the Baton Rouge Airport just after noon on Sunday where, according to KPLC News, a single, conscious passenger was taken off the flight.

WBRZ, a local Baton Rouge news channel, later reported that the passenger was alert and talking and was taken to the hospital for further treatment.

The flight was scheduled to continue shortly after 5PM Sunday night, arriving in Miami around 8:30 PM.
