Man threatens to assault cops during airport meltdown while daughter watches in horror

Welp, it happened again. Today’s airport freakout shows a very angry man threatening to assault the large cadre of airport police surrounding him. The video, originally shared to TikTok, then Reddit, shows the disgruntled traveler in the midst of a confrontation of sorts with police, with his daughter and significant other in tow. It’s not pretty.

According to the Reddit caption, the man was kicked off a flight for refusing to wear his mask, although we’ve not confirmed the veracity of this claim.

During the verbal tirade, the man repeatedly drops the F-bomb and at a few points dares the officers to get closer to him, suggesting he might assault them or even shoot them. All the while his significant other and daughter watch helplessly.

The incident, which was recorded for several minutes, does not end in violence – at least not on video, as the police officers surround the man, deftly, but not violently, moving him out of the airport – all without touching him it would seem.

As we’ve shared more times than we can quickly count, airport and travel freakouts have risen dramatically in the pandemic era with nearly 73% of all incidents being mask-related. While the FAA recently shared encouraging news that unruly incidents were finally starting to drop after tougher fines were imposed, they still continue to outpace pre-pandemic years.

Just yesterday we shared another airport freakout where a traveler claimed there were Russian warships off the coast of Seattle in the midst of a long-winded and erratic rant.

Recently, Delta Airlines offered to share its “Anti-Mask No-Fly” list with other airlines suggesting that airlines might be banding together (finally) to more effectively ban unruly passengers from multiple airlines. To date, unless the event became criminal the passenger may have only been banned from the specific airline the incident occurred on. However, if such a proposal were implemented by all airlines – essentially cross-sharing their banned anti-maskers – the effects of an incident would be far more dramatic. Pretty much like the actual No Fly list. Welcome news, frankly.

Encouraging to see that they are finally starting to dip, but it seems like we’ve not seen the last of these!

No. The FAA is imposing heavy fines and a lifetime ban on flying. Next they need tto add prison terms.

Because he wears white sneakers? I don’t think that is a qualification.
