Vyvianna Quinonez attacked the flight attendant so intensely that she knocked two teeth out of the Southwest Airlines employee. Now she’s staring down the barrel of a 15-month jail sentence and a $30,000 fine.

The viral video was brutal and it showed an enraged Vyvianna Quinonez violently attacking the Southwest Airlines flight attendant. The 29-year-old Sacramento California resident had boarded a flight between Sacramento and San Diego when she became incensed after being asked to fasten her seatbelt, stow her tray table and wear her face mask properly. The incident occurred last May and in her fury, she attacked a flight attendant punching her so hard that two teeth were knocked out and a cut under her eye required stitches.

Quinonez was arrested on charges of aggravated assault while the flight attendant was taken to the hospital. Now, after pleading guilty to the felony charges, Quinonez learned her fate and it includes 15 months in prison and a $33,000 fine. Despite a sentencing recommendation of 4 months in jail and 5 months of home confinement, the judge dropped the hammer on Quinonez who is also banned from flying commercially for 3 years.

Quinonez is not the only unruly passenger to have learned their fate after in-flight criminal behavior. A man who yelled racial slurs at a flight attendant was recently sentenced to 40 days in jail and an $8,000 fine.
