Southwest Flight evacuated after landing at BWI after written threat identified Monday evening

A Southwest Airlines flight from Phoenix was evacuated Monday evening after a “written threat” was identified by crew members.

According to the CBS Balitmore, Southwest Airlines Flight 2104, inbound from Phoenix, received some sort of written threat while in flight After landing at BWI, crew alerted local authorities and moved the plane to a separate location at the airport. After authorities arrived on scene the passengers and crew were transported to the terminal.

Southwest Airlines released the following statement to WMAR-2 news:

“Earlier this evening, the Crew working flight 2104 identified a written threat upon arrival into Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport. Our Crew followed protocol by notifying the appropriate authorities and moving the aircraft to a remote location while awaiting further instruction. The authorities promptly arrived and boarded the aircraft, safely transferring the 95 passengers and six Crew members to the terminal via buses. We are fully cooperating with authorities as they take extra precautionary measures and thoroughly review the aircraft. We apologize to our Customers for the inconvenience, the Safety of our Employees and Customers always remains our upmost priority.“

WMAR-2 news has reported that after law enforcement completed their investigation and determined there was no credible threat.
