Kind of like swimming in a toilet: The Las Vegas summer pool party scene draws thousands of skin-hungry booze-guzzling partiers every year, but what’s in the water might actually shock you. After someone tested the waters we are all left with our mouths gaping. Fecal matter anyone?
The Las Vegas pool party scene is a major draw for the Sin City and lures thousands upon thousands of party-hungry crowds willing to slather their bodies in sunscreen, strip down to some skimpy swimwear (if any at all at some pools) and slurp jello shots off a hunky bartenders stomach.
But what’s actually lurking in those waters? We’ve all peed in the pool at least once in our life…is that happening at a Vegas pool scene? What about other stuff…worse stuff?
Inside Edition sent a team of producers to visit 3 Las Vegas pools where they collected water samples. What they found and saw was shocking. From cigarette butts, to shockingly high levels of fecal matter, ecoli, and other disgusting matter. The expert asked to test the water samples had this to say about one Vegas pool: “It’s kind of like swimming in a toilet bowl.”

So, maybe on your next Vegas trip, you might want to skip the pool party, or if you do, just stay out of the water and do more jello shots.
