In a remarkable video an older man hands out $100 bills to passengers on a plane over the holidays. And we’ve got questions.
There are scant details on the situation, but it appears that the passenger (who doesn’t know how to wear his mask…) was handing out $100 bills to passengers on the plane – perhaps all of them.
The flight appears to be still in the air (you can hear airplane noise) and it was probably on the last portion of its journey as a flight attendant is behind this passenger picking up trash. Or maybe she’s picking up the $100 bills…lol
The first passenger the gentlemen gives the money to appears to first rebuff the gift and the generous gifter remarks that he doesn’t care if you take it or throw it way. The video is short, just a few seconds long.
The flight looks to be maybe a Delta regional CRJ flight or maybe an Air Canada flight (the folks at Secret Flying think it’s Air Canada, although I am not so sure). Hard to tell for sure. Maybe some of our hawkeye readers can tell us.
While it’s not clear what date this event occurred, it’s clearly recently because of the mask wearing and the video was uploaded to YouTube on December 27th. Here’s the video:
Our initial thoughts on this video are: Can someone tell this guy how to wear his mask. And, the thought of passing something around to everyone on the plane in this day and age (you know, a pandemic…) is moderately irritating.
That said, it’s a pretty generous thing to do. A hundred bucks is a decent chunk of money to give to anyone, let alone all of the passengers on a plane and it looks like he has several thousand bucks in his stack of cash. Who knows the motivations of this guy; maybe he’s just a rich nice guy who wanted to bless some fellow passengers during the holidays. Maybe it was a stunt. Who knows.
Kinda cool, I guess.
Tip of the hat to Secret Flying for bringing this video to our attention
