Two men were captured on video leaving a hotel in Texas and one of the men saw an opportunity to steal the purse of the hotel front desk clerk. When confronted, the man punched in the face before making his getaway. A $5,000 has been offered for more information leading to his arrest.
On May 1st a hotel desk clerk had her purse stolen by an unknown black male who also assaulted the woman by punching her in the face after she confronted the assailant. The encounter, which was recorded on video, shows two men leaving a Houston-area hotel not publicly named, but in the 2900 block of the Sam Houston Parkway.
As the men leave, one of them seems to notice a purse sitting in view behind the counter – later determined to be the front desk clerk. After pausing, he seems to weigh his options before going in for the steal. When the clerk, who was initially out of sight, realizes what’s going on she confronts him. He then proceeds to punch her before making a hasty exit into what was described as a black Chevy Malibu.
According to an ABC13 news report, the suspect is a black male between the ages of 25 to 30 and short…very short at an estimated height of 5′ 3″ with brown hair and wearing light-colored clothing – perhaps pink or peach-colored sweats with a white shirt. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Houston Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS (8477). Or submit an online tip or through the Crime Stoppers mobile app. A $5,000 reward is being offered.
