Two men were recently arrested after attempting to smuggle nearly 34 pounds of marijuana inside their checked luggage.
Police from the Charleston International Airport in South Carolina arrested two men and charged them with trafficking marijuana. According to a local news channel, 20-year-old Adonis Zynaris Kiawoh and 23-year-old Dwayne Simmons were traveling to Charleston from Miami when authorities in Charleston were alerted to possible contraband.
Upon arrival, police dispatched a K9 unit who alerted on the pair’s luggage. After the men retrieved it they were approached by the authorities. After a brief foot pursuit when attempting to flee the men were taken into custody.
Upon further inspection, it was revealed that the luggage contained 30 vacuum-sealed bags containing marijuana – nearly 34 pounds worth as well as two jars of moon rocks.
Moon rocks are often considered the “Champagne of the pot world” and are made by combining several different pot products into one.
