Earlier today we shared a news story that showed two men involved in a violent altercation. In the video, below, a black male passenger and a white United Airlines employee square off and exchanging blows. During the altercation, the United Airlines employee appears to take the brunt of the damage – at one point being knocked over before rising with a bloodied face. At the time we shared that story not much information was known about the men involved in the altercation or what might have started.
Fellow travel blogging company Travel Pulse shared an updated story revealing that the Daily Mall has identified one of the men involved in the altercation as former NFL player Brendan Langley.
According to the Daily Mall, Langley who briefly played for the Denver Broncos before joining the Calgary Stampeders in the CFL, was arrested on May 19th in connection with the incident which was apparently over the use of a wheelchair to move luggage instead of a luggage cart. The Daily Mall also noted the United Airlines employee involved in the incident has been terminated.
