A viral video is making its way around the internet where a woman discovers her boyfriend is breaking up with her on the plane. She proceeds to lose her ever-loving mind by screaming at the top of her lungs and laying in the aisle of the plane.
Most of us have been through breakups. Sometimes they go ok, sometimes they don’t. There’s an art and science to the breakup. Timing, location, modality (e.g. text vs. call vs. in person, etc), and so on are important.
Breaking up mid-flight (in this case, it appears the plane hadn’t left the gate yet), however, is an interesting choice and yet one man decided this was the perfect place to do exactly that when he pulled the trigger on their relationship…on a plane.
What could go wrong? Well, what went wrong is the woman proceeded to lose her mind, screaming at the top of her lungs on the plane and laying in the aisle of the plane sobbing.
The video, which was shared by @traveltmz on various social media platforms including TikTok, has since gone viral and even features a companion commentary video by a woman who offers some alternative opinions about the freakout.

Comments to this video are pretty wide-ranging with a fair amount of support for the man doing the breakup in public and a healthy number of folks questioning the logic of doing this on an airplane when you will then be stuck with this person for an extended period of time.

The wisdom of breaking up on a plane depends on the particular airline you are on. While all airlines restrict the baggage you can bring into the cabin, some charge extra for any baggage carried into the cabin.
Video isn’t recent.. looks like an MD-80 (AA retired them back in 2019)
