Best Airport Layovers

According to a piece published by Your Mileage May Vary, the Miami International Airport is the number one choice for airport layovers. Top of the list for worst? Shock…gasp….it’s ORD. Yup, O’Hare airport in Chicago. We can confirm that ORD is pretty icky to spend an extended layover!

Southwest’s Travel Fiasco is pricey, pricey!

Southwest Airlines got some negative press the other day (from us and many other outlets) about the real reasons behind their massive delays and cancellations that spiraled out of control. Not without evidence, we speculated that maybe Southwest wasn’t being completely truthful about the reasons for the debacle and that maybe, just maybe, pilots and ATCs against the recent vaccine mandates were staging a sick-out. We now know the cost of the debacle. According to Travel Pulse, the cost is 75 big ones. Yup, $75 million dollars. OUCH

United Airlines thinks vaccine mandates are the biggest risk airlines face now

Live and Let Fly discussed the United Airlines CEO’s view on the impact and risks of vaccine mandates. Scott Kirby, the UA CEO thinks they represent the biggest risk airlines have ahead of them and he might be right given their controversial nature and the timing of said mandates with the impending busy holiday schedule. Seems that while many people are pro-vaccine they are anti-mandate. Either way, it could be a mess!

Hawaii now wants tourists after previously giving them the Heisman

Yup, Hawaii says come on back after previously telling tourists to stay away. Will they come back? Probably..because, well, it’s Hawaii! Duh.

People renting cars are…wait for it…unhappy

The Points Guy tells us just how unhappy people renting cars are with the latest price increases. In results that surprise literally nobody, customer satisfaction is plummeting with people who actually can get a rental car and the price it costs them. Oof…not fun.
