Never change Spirit Airlines. Never change. A violent encounter at an airport left one woman with an eye cut while wigs and clothes were ripped off in the scuffle.
In late January, another entry in the annals of passengers behaving badly was entered when two female travelers exchanged blows with Spirit Airlines employees at the Philadelphia International Airport.
The 39-year-old mother and her 17-year-old daughter found themselves frustrated at having to pay oversized baggage fees and a fracas ensued.
According to the Daily Mail the Fort Lauderdale-bound passengers were seen clawing at Spirit employees in Terminal E of Philly’s beleaguered airport.
The teen is seen first in the video published on the Daily Mail and where she is seen pulling on a gate agent’s dreadlocks. Eventually, his hair is freed and the teed-off employee appears to launch several punches in her direction. At one point the mother joined the fracas losing her shirt in the process and fighting only in her bra for a period of time. She eventually has her wig ripped off after she attempted to grab a keyboard and make a dash for it while an employee punches her in the head.
The chaotic scene unfolded before fellow passengers who appear to have been shocked at how long it lasted before security eventually arrived.
A 24-year-old woman was hurt in the incident receiving a cut on her eye in the process. It was unclear if the woman was a fellow traveler or an airport or airline employee.
Video and pictures were shared with the Daily Mail and are shocking, to say the least.
