The police officer had previously been terminated by a local police department for a domestic violence incident before taking a job with the airport police. He was arrested by his former agency after allegedly exposing himself for gratification at least twice.

Danny Bell, a former captain in the Daphne Police Department and a current police officer with the Mobile Airport Authority was taken into custody this week after a warrant for his arrest was issued by his former agency. The charges? Exposing himself in public for the purposes of gratification.

The charges are related to an incident that allegedly occurred on September 20 where Bell is accused of exposing himself in two separate incidents that day.

According to AL.com, one of the alleged incidents occurred in front of a woman who had a young child in the car with her. It’s unclear if these incidents occurred on airport property or while Bell was on duty.

Bell was made aware of the warrant over the weekend and instructed to turn himself in, however, he failed to do so and was subsequently arrested at the Mobile Airport by officers from the Daphne Police Department.

Bell was previously fired in 2014 from his role as a Captain in that same police department over a misdemeanor domestic violence incident.

After posting bond, he was released and remains on administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation and case.
