A bizarre story has emerged where a woman was pulled aside at airport security after hiding her dead boyfriend’s ashes inside a sex toy. Airport security was not amused and an embassy even had to be engaged after vulgarity laws may have been broken. The viral TikTok video has racked up millions of views.
The now viral TikTok video has made its rounds across social media. An Australian woman traveling through an airport in the United Arab Emirates was pulled aside by airport security after she was flagged for something suspicious. According to the woman, a 23-year-old named Sarah Button, she was traveling with her late boyfriend’s ashes stored inside a butt plug. A fully inserted butt plug.
The joke, according to Button, it was all a joke because “he’d spent so much time in there and it was his favourite place.”
Airport officials at the notoriously circumspect Arab country were not amused and apparently she may have violated a decency or vulgarity law at one point after she explained what was happening in earshot of a female airport employee.
Her party’s passports which may have included her dad who seems to have been traveling with her were taken and they were briefly detained while they contacted the Australian embassy. Ultimately, she was allowed to continue her travels.
According to the Mirror, her boyfriend had his ashes delivered to her after he died as a parting joke and Button thinks it the funniest thing he’s ever done. She has taken him on multiple adventures since his passing, noting, “My life has changed a lot and I wish he was here to see it but I’m glad I get to take him with me to places like the Great Barrier Reef and concerts of bands he loved. We’re going to see Bring Me The Horizon in December.”
