A group of passengers was treated to an impromptu sermon on a flight when a masked evangelist led a group of travelers to the Lord. The now-viral video shows several people making a decision for Christ mid-air.
While we don’t have much information about the incident, a video was shared to the TravelFreakout subreddit on the popular social media platform Reddit. In the video, a heavyset masked man appears to be sharing the gospel with all of the passengers within earshot. As far as we can tell, the plane is in mid-flight. As his sermon concludes he asks if anyone is interested in giving their life over to God and several respond to the call. He leads them in a round of prayer.
This incident comes on the heels of a similar incident where a group of enthusiastic young adults lead a worship service on the flight. In that incident, many of the passengers are less than thrilled. In this most recent incident, it’s hard to see if any passengers are truly irritated about the event, and for the most part, the man is allowed to continue. It appears that what may have been a member of the flight crew approaches the man mid-sermon, but then lets him finish.
Comments on the latest incident run the gamut, including these gems:
- “I’m going to his church and start doing the airplane safety presentation right in the middle of the sermon” RichS816
- “If you won’t come to my church…Well then I’ll have to force my church upon you while you are unable to leave. TalibAngelicals…” IllustriousStorm5730
- “Just for fairness and freedom, I would’ve liked to see a Muslim or a Buddhist or a Hindu stand up next to put in their sales pitch- 100$ says these folks won’t be so tolerant and listening in that case” hydroCarbonRus
- “Christians on a plane, starring Samuel L Jackson: I HAVE HAD IT WITH THESE MOTHA F*CKIN CHRISTIANS ON THIS MOTHA F*CKIN PLANE!†welcometoChicago8
