True story: a man was recently filmed playing his guitar while singing worship songs about Jesus to a plane full of mostly nonplussed passengers. The viral video was shared on TikTok and Reddit and entitled, “Wanna get away?” It appears several passengers, either led the impromptu worship session or joined in.
The now-viral video emerged on TikTok before being cross-shared to Reddit’s Travel Freakout subreddit where it quickly shot to the top. The video shows a plane full of passengers, some wearing masks, some not – presumably a European flight where some mask restrictions have been loosened. One commenter believes it may be an EasyJet flight.
It opens with an incredibly happy young man strumming his guitar, singing what appears to be a worship song. He is joined by at least one other person, a friendly-looking young lady who is harmonizing with him. It appears that several people have joined in, or were a part of the worship service.
While not much information is currently available, it’s entirely possible this was a group of younger folks on a missions trip and who felt the urge to proselytize a bit.
Clearly, not everyone is enthusiastic about the impromptu worship session as several passengers are visibly irritated in their seats.
Comments on the subreddit were mostly negative including some of these gems:

For our part, we won’t comment one way or the other on the religious aspect, but as a human being who travels a lot, this would super freaking annoying. Doesn’t matter if they are singing about God or bananas, or baby sharks. Zip it…sit down…shut up. LOL

I would have loved it! I’m scared of flying and as a Christian I would have found it very comforting to hear his music. If it were his kind of music would he have been ok with it or was it because it was Christian music??
I love flying and I love Yeshua!! we dont have much time left so we need to share Him more even if we are hated for it, some wanted to know who this Jesus is! Praise Yah!!

I would have loved listening whether I’m a Christian or not. They positive energy he displayed and shared was very admirable. Sad that most people find it annoying or irritating by someone spreading joy instead of hate.
