ANA, or All Nippon Airways announced a new character from a popular anime show would be featured on its livery. Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is both a popular anime show and manga character where the titular character longs to become a slayer of demons to avenge his sister who was turned into a demon.
The Japanese airline already features two other anime characters on previous liveries as part of its pop culture reach-out efforts.
This 3rd character is fan favorite Tanjiro (the previous two characters were Rengoku and Tengen).
The multi-pronged marketing effort will also include various other ANA elements including updated cups, toys and collectibles for children, water bottles and more.
Passengers will also be able to enjoy episodes of the popular show while traveling and staff will have themed aprons and even perform themed announcements.
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is from the popular and successful Ufotable studio in Japan whom ANA has partnered as part of this series of marketing campaigns.
Ufotable is responsible for several other popular anime shows including Tales of Zestiria the X, and Katsugeki/Touken Ranbu.
