A traveler used his robotic suitcase as his wingman in a valiant attempt to ask a cute girl out at the airport after writing her a “check yes, check no” note and sending the suitcase over to ask her. After momentary confusion, she replies with her answer.

The video, which was shared to TikTok, starts with a quick view of a man indicating he’s spied someone attractive at the airport and wants to see if she feels the same attraction. The man quickly unmasks and reveals to us that he looks kind of like Cristiano Ronaldo, the megastar soccer player; of course, it’s not Ronaldo, but the resemblance is uncanny. Instead, it’s social media influencer @djspindizzy, known for his prolifically viewed travel videos.

This time, however, the traveler has spied the love of his life (maybe) but lacks the courage to approach her directly. So, he relies on his wingman. Every dude has a good wingman, right? It’s a basic precept of the mating ritual, you know, since the dawn of time.

Except his wingman isn’t named Chad. It’s his Rydebot robotic suitcase. The man sketches out the classic “check yes, check no” note, stashes it on his suitcase, and sends Chadbot off on a mission. Using an app on his phone, he navigates the suitcase through the airport gate area to where the bemasked woman is sitting.

Invalid request error occurred.

She grabs the notebook, confused, of course, reads the note, looks around a bit bewildered, while the man manages a half wave to get her attention. She quickly wrinkles her brow and logs her answer. As the bot makes its way back, we anxiously await the verdict.

It’s a no. <sad face>.

Of course, it’s all an elaborately staged influencer video as part of @djspindizzy’s partnership with Rydebot. The woman in the video looks eerily familiar to his girlfriend in other videos and of course, @djspindizzy hypes Rydebot quite a bit on TikTok. The verdict? Yeah, staged & fake, but well done, sir (and ma’am). A cute little video that does exactly what Rydebot wanted…got our attention.

Ok, let’s all agree in that he definitely doesn’t look like Cristiano Ronaldo!

Shameless self promotion and why would anyone need a robotic travel case? Needless expense…
