In one of the more unusual videos we’ve seen in a while a short video snippet was posted of a couple boarding a plane. The unusual bit? The woman was leashed and being pulled by the man. The video was shared with a flight attendants group on Reddit and the ensuing discussion is fascinating.

For those unfamiliar (like us) with the world of kink, there is a subgenre known as BDSM. In this universe, the consenting adults take their sex lives in unique directions. Since this is a travel blog we won’t go much further than that, but readers are welcome to dive into the deep end of that pool on their own if they want.

We will stick to the video, below, which shows a couple (both masked, mind you) boarding what looks like a Southwest flight. The woman has a short leash attached to her neck and is being pulled/led by a man. And that’s it. Watch it for yourself, below:

The ensuing comments on Reddit are quite interesting though and are all over the spectrum including these:

“Nothing. They’re two consenting adults. Who are also wearing their masks correctly.”

“I don’t kink shame”

“Honestly, they are wearing their masks and that’s one less battle I have to fight.”

“I would not tolerate a man dragging a woman around on a leash on my aircraft, under any circumstances. It’s not imagery anyone should be exposed to without their consent.”

“Nothing. Just request that the leash be taken off for taxi, takeoff, and landing.”

hey’re orderly, masked, and not bothering anyone. The lack of reaction doesn’t surprise me. The bar to take notice of something is really fucking high these days. I think if I saw this I’d probably just say to myself, Huh. That’s different.”

By all accounts, the two employees don’t appear to be violating any laws or rules for travel and appear to be consenting adults. So, the last comment maybe kinda sums it up: Hmm…that’s different. And move on.

We are, however, interested in an official view of this behavior on a plane so if any of y’all are airline representatives and can speak to this with authority, drop us a comment below.

I get that people will lead personal lives in such a way but shouldn’t this be a red flag for human trafficking? It doesn’t look like it to me but just saying.

First rule of kink: don’t involve unwilling participants in your kink.

+1. I firmly believe that consenting adults should be allowed to do whatever they like in the privacy of their own home. The problem here is, this is absolutely not private.

What if she had been black? Would that make a difference? What if instead of a leash it was a neck shackle? Hmmm.
