A video of a male passenger being arrested at the Charlotte airport has emerged. In the brief clip, the man can be heard laughing maniacally while being arrested by four police officers. His claim? That it’s the cops who are going to jail. Spoiler alert: they do not.
A fellow passenger from the Charlotte-Douglas International Airport (CLT) shared the clip to YouTube on February 14th. In the caption that accompanied the video, the poster notes that the man appears to have been shoplifting at an airport convenience store. Not much more details were provided.
In the video, the man is lying face down on the ground as cops finalize his handcuffs. He can be heard laughing and saying that they (the cops!) are “all going to lose their jobs!”
He laughs for a bit more, then tells the police officers, “Hope you like going to jail!”
It’s a little hard to hear, but it seems like one of the officers clarified things for the man, letting him know that it was him going to the clink, not them.
The alleged shoplifter seems content with the realization, offering a quick, “Yeah, take me to jail motherf*cker! Please take me to jail” He begs them to take him to jail a few more times.
The officers happily oblige.
Why the initial confusion? Maybe the man thought he could play the old Uno Reverse move? It was worth a shot.
