An Azul Airlines flight aborted its takeoff over an electrical problem and initiated its emergency evacuation protocol sending panicked passengers to the tarmac over fears the plane might explode.
The Airbus A320 plane was bound for Sao Paolo and originated from the Marechal Rondon International Airport in Cuiaba on November 25th. Azul Airlines Flight 2751 was in the midst of its takeoff when it suddenly lurched to a halt. According to the Mirror, a screaming flight attendant urged everyone to deplane over fears the plane might explode. Panic then ensued as shrieking passengers scrambled to get off the plane leaving 9 of the 132 passengers hurt.

LAD Bible reported comments from several passengers on board who had this to say:
“The flight attendant appeared screaming, ordering everyone to exit through the emergency exit. People started pushing and I was with a child. Everyone went down the slide. I left with my baby and went back to get my wife because she fell and hurt herself. Another woman broke her foot and a pregnant woman had a bad experience.”
Another passenger, Juliana Amorim, offered this account: “I went down the slide and saw a lot of injured people. When I went down the slide, the engine was on and it was so windy that people were being knocked over.”
According to reporting by G1, Azul Airlines offered this official statement:
“Customers evacuated the aircraft through the plane’s emergency exits. Azul emphasizes that it is providing all the necessary support to customers, regrets what happened and reinforces that actions like this are necessary to ensure safety of its operations”

Stupidity on the Tarmac instead of Terror. What a dumb word to use. All that does is cause more and more idiotic reactions to something that probably (as this one did not)! The press should at least try to be somewhat literate about airlines and how they operate before doing this kind of disservice to everyone, from passengers to employees!!
