A female passenger on a recent Florida flight found herself in a bit of a predicament after defending two fellow passengers who were removed because of a bomb threat. She herself was removed from the flight.

Last Friday night two men were detained by authorities at the Fort Lauderdale Hollywood International Airport after an alleged bomb threat. The Azul Airlines flight was destined for Brazil and had to be evacuated after a bomb threat was identified. Ultimately, the bomb threat was proven to be unfounded and the flight eventually continued on to its destination.

But, sans the two men and an unrelated female passenger told 7 News Miami that she too was removed from the flight after defending the two men who were detained.

In the unnamed woman’s view the two men were simply drunk. She noted, “Two guys, very drunk and suddenly five minutes after a police come to the airplane and they just took the two guys because they said it was a threat.”

She said that she and two other unnamed passengers were there and they never heard any sort of bomb threat. A flight attendant reportedly told her to be quiet or she would be removed. Ultimately, she was removed from the flight. The woman was traveling to Brazil to attend her mother’s funeral.

Another passenger told 7 News Miami, “I was right there, and I never heard anything about bomb, nor the other people, and that’s not right, charging him for something he really didn’t have (sic).”

No information on whether the two men in question were charged was available at time of publishing.

She’s absolutely in the right. She provided eye witness statements after false accusations were made against two men. If this woman was deemed unsafe to fly, the flight attendant should have been removed as well. Flight attendants routinely lie and abuse their authority over aircraft safety. If the removal of two passengers by police is based on a lie, the flight attendant was obstructing justice.
