A drunk passenger takes the mic and belts out a slurred version of the hit Shaggy song “It wasn’t me” as other passengers join in.

One male passenger who’d had a bit too much to drink on his flight home from Ireland decided to delight the passengers and crew of his Ryanair flight with a stirring rendition of the hit song “It wasn’t me” from Shaggy.

The incident, which happened several months ago, remains a popular entry in the annals of weird and unruly passenger behavior over the last few years.

What’s most surprising is that the flight crew appears to be in on it. Standing at the front of the plane, the flight attendant gives the man the intercom and he starts to sing, before realizing he can’t operate the mic and she has to intervene. As she holds the button down for him he belts out a slurred (at times) version of the hit song. Soon, other people on the plane join in with him singing the “It wasn’t me” refrain.

It’s kind of an odd scene all around. He’s clearly drunk and it had us wondering if the Flight Attendant was choosing this route (letting him sing) instead of going more militant with him and perhaps turning the situation ugly. Or maybe she’s just a fan of the hit song. Or maybe they just do it differently on Ryanair (they do!). Either way, it’s humorous. And slightly annoying.
