A Spirit Airlines flight attendant forced a passenger to cover up his Let’s Go Brandon face mask which offended the flight attendant, despite the passenger also wearing a shirt with the same slogan.
Earlier this week, Adam Radogna, was traveling on Spirit Airlines, when, after taking his seat a flight attendant asked Radogna to remove or cover his face mask. The mask in question? A light-up mask that featured the phrase “Let’s Go Brandon” that scrolled across it, followed by the initial FJB.
Radogna was handed a standard blue face mask which he ultimately wore over the mask, but not without calmly attempting to get clarity on the situation. His main arguments consisted of trying to understand why the phrase was offensive when masks saying “Black Lives Matter” were allowed and the unusual irony that the flight attendant did not make him remove his shirt which also featured the controversial phrase, Let’s Go Brandon and an image of President Biden.
The first video, below, shows the initial encounter as Adam took his seat. The flight attendant is not pictured, but can be heard in the audio clip.
In the second encounter, Radogna shared his interaction with the crew as he was deplaning attempting to further get clarity from the crew, while claiming his name was Brandon.
The encounter highlights some of the frustration that has mounted in what seems to many to be inconsistent policies about acceptable apparel on flights.
The Let’s Go Brandon phrase entered the zeitgeist as a double for the F*ck Joe Biden chant that emerged at a NASCAR race when a host misunderstood what a crowd was chanting during an interview with a drive. The phrase quickly went viral becoming a rallying cry for many conversations who are deeply disappointed with President Biden.
