In a story so wild it feels like it was ripped from the pages of a bizarre music video script, a man wearing a clown mask drove a limousine past airport security in a failed attempt to get a plane so he could look for UFO’s at Area 51. During this event, the man claimed he had a bomb and was in possession of a shotgun.

Matthew Brannock was arrested earlier this week after he breached airport security at the Las Vegas Airport, also known as McCarren International Airport. According to the wild story shared by Newsweek, Brannock drove through the airport security gates and parked his car next to a private plane. After exiting the vehicle, wearing a clown mask, he announced his intention to blow up the airport.

After the employees fled, apparently the 36-year-old Brannock drove off only to later surrender to police. During this second encounter, Brannock told authorities that he was the “Chosen One” and that he needed the plane to get to the famed Area 51 so he could look for UFOs.

Sadly, this is not Brannock’s first encounter with the police. According to Fox 5 News, Brannock was cited and placed on medical hold after doing donuts on the Strip, an encounter that made the rounds on social media.

However, after this encounter, Brannock was arrested. In addition to the bizarre behavior with clown masks, bombs and Area 51, the man also apparently claimed that he was affiliated with the mob, that someone owed him millions of dollars and that he had several high-security clearances, according to the Newsweek report.

Brannock was released on several charges after posting bail and is scheduled to make a court appearance next week.

At least he was wearing a mask! He didn’t violate Brandon and Buttplug’s “Federal Transportation Mask Mandate”

So if I peacefully decline wearing a mask I’ll get dragged away in handcuffs off the plane and put on the same no fly list as underwear bombers and clown psychos. What a clown world we live in.
