An Ohio couple who first met on an airplane tied the knot last week at the Charlotte Douglas International Airport a fitting venue for the couple who sat next to each other on a 90-minute flight and instantly hit it off.

Ohio natives Liz and Adam found love in an airplane and in a fitting bookend to an up-in-the-air romance, tied the knot at the Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT) last Friday.

The couple first met on a short flight from Cleveland to Charlotte when Liz took an empty seat next to Adam on their flight. It was Mother’s Day 2021 and the American Airlines flight was a mere 90-minutes in length which was just enough time to fall in love. They instantly connected and talked nearly nonstop the entire flight.

After landing, Adam boldly asked Liz for her number so they could continue the conversation to which Liz apparently replied, “Oh, I was actually going to give you mine.”

According to a Facebook post shared by the Charlotte Douglas International Airport, the couple got hitched last Friday in the Atrium part of the airport before flitting off to Florida for their honeymoon.

No word on whether they got the upgrade or if their flight was delayed.
