When you are super rich you get to do super rich things and right now one of those things is space travel. SNL star Pete Davidson, boyfriend to Kim Kardashian, and moderately funny guy, is traveling to space. Because, why not.
Pete Davidson, star of this surprisingly still popular Saturday Night Live show, has booked his ticket to space aboard Blue Origin, the space tourist travel company owned by billionaire Jeff Bezos, formerly of Amazon renown.
Davidson, who has somehow managed to nab Kim Kardashian his girlfriend (pays to be funny, we guess), will be the third celebrity passenger making the trip on Blue Origin, having been preceded by William Shatner and Michael Strahan.
The comedian will be one of six passengers on the space trip scheduled for March 23rd and looks to bring his laughter to the stars.
According to the Guardian, the other passengers on the flight include CEO Marty Allen, a mega-rich couple – Sharon and Marc Hagle, a former NASA guy named George Nield, and Jim Kitchen, a teacher and entrepreneur.
Bezos, along with fellow billionaires Elon Musk and Richard Branson, aims to make space travel accessible for the masses. Blue Origin provides travelers with a little over a minute of weightlessness during the low orbit trip.
Reusable rockets play a key part in their efforts to bring the expensive costs of lobbing metal into space. So far, the bucket-list adventure is mostly restricted to the mega rich because, well, it just isn’t affordable yet. Yet…
