A tragic story has emerged after the body of a 19-year-old receptionist at a resort was found floating in a canal, murdered after refusing to have sex with guests of the property. The owner of the property is now under investigation.
Ankita Bhandari was a 19-year-old employee of a resort in India’s Uttarakhand, a state in Northern India. Now, she’s dead after allegedly refusing to have sex with the guests of the resort where she worked as a receptionist.
According to MSN, violent protests have started in the wake of the tragic death as crowds express outrage and anger over the alleged killing by the son of a local politician. Pulkit Arya is the owner of the Vanantara resort in the Pauri district and his father is BJP leader, Vinod Arya.
Pulkit Arya, the resort manager Saurabh Bhaskar and assistant manager Ankit Gupta have all been taken into custody after a Facebook chat with a friend revealed that Bhandari was being pressured to provide “special services” for guests. When she refused she appears to have been killed, her body dumped in a local canal.
Violent crowds set a local pickle factory on fire and broke the windows of several establishments and vehicles. The Chief Minister of the region has promised a thorough investigation into the incident.
