Many readers probably have their own travel horror story. Maybe it was dirty hotel sheets, or a missed connection that turned into an overnight stay at the Midway Airport Terminal A, or maybe your rental car smelled like mary jane. If you’ve traveled…you’ve had something go wrong.
Nowhere else is this more true than with the road warrior. The business traveler out there grinding it out week in and week out on the road. When you log that kind of miles you are bound to run into some wacky situations.
Today’s travel horror story comes from a fellow road warrior and although he claims to now be retired, the story is a gem.
In a post shared to Reddit a former business traveler shared a hilarious story that saw him staying in a hotel for an extended period of time. So long that the staff grew to know him.
As you will read below, one day he inadvertently locked himself out of this room…in his skivvies. Gulp! With no other option and no hotel phone on the floor he made the walk of shame to the front desk to ask for a new key…from a staff member he didn’t know which added insult to injury.
