The images are shocking. Video of the damaged plane show a massively damaged fuselage that somehow was able to successfully land leaving no injuries despite the potentially catastrophic mid air collision.
Two planes collided over Cherry State Park in Colorado on Thursday and despite a shocking amount of damage to one plane, both planes landed without injuries – one using a parachute mechanism.
According to news reports a smaller Cirrus jet from a local flight school collided with a Key Lime Air freight jet as both apparently attempted to land at a smaller Denver regional area airport. The Denver 7 news channel covered the story below, including footage of one plane landing with it’s parachute deployed.
The NTSB continues their investigation today.

Glad everyone is OK. What pitiful reporting in that video. The plane that deployed the parachute had damage near its propeller? What prop, it was a jet. The Key Lime aircraft was a cargo jet? Looks like it had the props. Why question the safety history of the airline when the party at fault doesn’t seem to have been established yet? Is it too much to ask for the news to get the simple information correct and wait for facts to actually come out for them to report on?
