A man was arrested on Friday night after attacking several people with an edged weapon. According to local authorities, a large blade was recovered at the scene.
A scary scene unfolded on Friday night after a man drove a car to the San Francisco Airport (SFO) before entering the unsecured portion of the property and attacking at least three people with an edged weapon. The incident, which is being described as a knife attack, occurred around 6PM on Friday night in the international terminal of the busy Bay-area airport.
Although the motive for the attack is not known, the man was taken into custody and faces charges. According to the San Francisco Chronicle, the injured were treated for minor cuts and scrapes and released. And apparently continued on their journey.
Police indicated the man entered the terminal before pulling out an edged weapon and attacking travelers in the area.
The identity of the attacker has not been released to the public yet, however, a local NBC channel showed crime scene tape around a grey Honda Accord parked outside the terminal.
