Pretty much everyone has stayed in a bad hotel or had a bad hotel experience at least once. Maybe it’s a leaky faucet or a steady stream of customers leaving the room next door all night, or maybe the AC doesn’t work or the hotel bed sags. But usually, it doesn’t feature maggots on your hotel bed. Usually.

Of course, not every hotel is a delightful experience and many, frankly leave a lot to desired. But, usually it’s tolerable for a night.
Some hotels, however, are absolutely disgusting. The folks from Planet Dolan have assembled a list of the 10 Worst Hotels in the World (see video below). The list of offenses to make this list will make your knees buckle. From being asked to clean the hotel kitchen to pools of blood, cockroaches, rats, and bed bugs there is so much not right about these hotels.

I’m kind of surprised Planet Dolan doesn’t get sued…many of the images used in association with hotels on this video’s list were (almost certainly) not from the real hotels. #10 on the list has, apparently, been closed for some time (since around 2010). Two different hotels on the list seemed to picture the same interior. Artistic license is one thing….
