An NFL player was recently arrested at the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) after attempting to bring a gun through airport security. The former Seattle Seahawk and current free agent was arrested and charged with possession of a concealed firearm.
According to TMZ, former Seattle Seahawk and current free agent Duane Brown was arrested on gun charges at the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) after attempting to bring a firearm through airport security.
The event occurred around 2PM on Saturday in Terminal 6 which is predominantly anchored by Alaska Airlines. According to local news stations, Brown’s unloaded weapon was found packed in a piece of luggage and identified during the airport screening process. Police were contacted and Brown was taken away in handcuffs. He stands charged with possession of a concealed weapon.
The 36-year-old Brown, an offensive tackle and current free agent, formerly played for the NFL’s Seattle Seahawks and Houston Texans. He is a 5 time NFL Pro Bowler and played for Virginia Tech in college.
