Man coldcocks member of airline staff, shocking onlookers

A man stunned onlookers at the airport earlier this week when he coldcocked an airline employee in the gate area of the airport. The violent encounter was captured on a now-viral video.

Various reports have emerged including a video that shows an irate man slugging an airline employee in the gate area of Atlanta’s Hartsfield International Airport. The encounter, which occurred at Terminal C in the large airport, stuns the onlooking crowd as the man winds up and launches a violent punch at a staff member.

Fox 5, a local news station, shared video of the incident which is hard to watch as the irate passenger takes a violent swing at a male employee of Southwest Airlines. During the encounter, several female employees from Southwest Airlines intervene attempting to calm the irate man before further violence ensues.

While it’s unknown what caused the man to become so irate the aggressive and violent display is shocking and is yet another sad entry in the happens-far-too-often annals of travel-related incidents during the pandemic-era.

According to the Fox 5 report, the women were successful in calming the man down until local airport police arrived. The man was not named publicly and no word of pending charges was known at the time of publishing.
