OontZ Angle 3 Review
The OontZ Angle 3 is a powerful portable speaker that can be used for both in-home use and for travel. Here at our house we use it around the pool and in our kitchen. Ease of Use
The OontZ Angle 3 has a simple and easy to use interface. A power button on the “back” of the speaker turns it on and a bluetooth button on the side (pictured, above) allows or easy connection (I never had any issues connecting or reconnecting the device).
There are sound buttons on the side that are clearly labeled and a play / pause button in between. All are easy to use. It comes with a startup guide, but I can’t imagine you’d need one.
Sound Quality
This is the most important factor when purchasing a portable speaker and it’s important to keep in mind the use case for such a speaker. A portable speaker is not intended to be used as a high-quality replacement for a traditional speaker. It’s a portable speaker designed to take with you
I sampled several different music styles from Rock, to Dubstep, Rap, Pop and Country. When at max volume the OontZ delivers it’s bass tones well enough, but it can be a little Treble-y. When you drop the sound a little it’s much clearer.
Pop music seems to be be best suited music for this speaker, but the others were not as bad as I’ve seen with other travel speakers. Remember, this speaker is something you can bring to the beach so you and buddies have some tunes and yeah, you want to hear it, but the rest of the beach probably doesn’t want to hear it.
I would rate the OontZ Angle 3 Sound Quality as simply good enoughÂ
Should I buy the OontZ Angle 3?
The million dollar question, right? Well, maybe not million, but at least the reason you are here. My answer is simple, it’s a yes, but you need to make sure you understand the use case. If you are wanting a speaker that will you can drop on your kitchen counter and provide insanely high quality sound throughout that room and your family room while hosting a party this is not that speaker (you’d probably be better off with a Bose SoundLink Revolve).
But, if you are looking for a reasonably priced, easy to use portable travel speaker that is lightweight and simply good enough, than the OontZ Angle 3 will do the trick.Â
