It was a Facebook ad that turned me onto this company and I’ve not been the same. You probably saw a few too during the holidays. Yep, it was the customized boarding pass themed throw pillows. Pretty. Freakin. Cool. It also got my brain thinking about travel themed wall art…
While I didn’t buy a throw pillow, I did snag a custom made ONT airport luggage tag (and some other stuff). Then I started really poking around on their site and quickly decided that Airportag is a badass company with really clever air travel themed stuff.
I say “stuff” because they have an amalgam of interesting travel products ranging from luggage tags, to t-shirts, to luggage, cell phone cases, and more. But they also have a really cool section of travel themed wall art. And that REALLY caught my eye!
Since we can’t travel right now, we are resigned to dreaming about it. Here is a collection of interesting travel themed wall art including vintage pieces, modern looks and more. We’ve also mixed in some other interesting travel themed wall art that’s NOT on Airportag, because, well, we like art!
Travel Themed Wall Art
In the travel themed wall art section on Airportag, there are a many interesting travel related art pieces. I’ve highlighted a few of them that caught my eye. But, what you like may not be what I like…and that’s ok. Check out their travel themed wall art collection here.
Boarding passes, for some reason, stick in our minds. Maybe it’s because they evoke the excitement of a trip not yet taken and what adventure may lie ahead. Commemorating that trip (or surprising someone WITH a trip via a gift like this) is pretty darn cool. We have a few trips we’d like to customize into this canvas travel themed wall art.
Stick this cool piece in your hip loft. Don’t worry, they have all kinds of different airport 3-letter code pieces of wall art too. If JFK isn’t the airport you want to commemorate try MDW (but honestly, is there anything memorable about Midway??).
Maybe you stick this in your crash pad, or maybe it’s just fun to have in the game room, but I kinda dig it. This is a metal sign with bright colors and a funny comment.
I don’t know why this piece speaks to me, but it does. Maybe it evokes a bygone era of travel, or the reminder of adventures past, but it’s pretty cool.
We like old planes. Mix in some black and white and all I can picture is Don Draper smoking a cigar in his first class seat. We like this piece!
This poster immediately puts the viewer into a different era. Picture Howard Hughes, smoky cigars, and scotch! Pretty neat! We love old airport signs and think they are the PERFECT addition to any collection of travel themed wall art.
Like many of us, you are probably struggling to find your new normal. Perhaps you’ve done that and are simply bored. We’ve got your back. Here’s a ton of recent content that revolves around what’s facing us today, including working from home ideas, what to watch, things to read, and how to avoid boredom. Enjoy.
