I don’t know how I’ve missed this travel & home office mashup, but it’s now clear: it’s the ONLY thing I want for Christmas now. See why this is the coolest travel-themed home office accessory travel starved remote workers can buy!
As a former business traveler who now basically spends every day on Zoom calls, I am desperately missing the road. I know I’m not alone in this either. 2020 has been a total shit show and if travel was your “thing” you’ve probably spent a good portion of 2020 yearning for any semblance of travel.
Sure, I’ve hit the road a few times during the pandemic. My be-masked face has taken a total of two business trips since March, plus a few road trips, and one personal trip. That’s down from 3x monthly travel pre-COVID. My home office and I have gotten to know each other REALLY well. I think it’s just as tired of me as I am of it.

Over the course of the summer, I’ve upgraded my home office, investing in several new home office accessories that have made a real difference. Things like better lighting, and a standup desk riser (which is pretty badass, btw), etc. However, I’ve yet to upgrade my chair. I’ve been waiting for the right deal on the right chair and nothing has “clicked” for me yet.
Unbeknownst to me, there is a company selling perhaps the most epic home office + travel mashup I’ve seen. Sure, there are companies like Airportag that sell all kinds of clever travel-inspired stuff that you can use in your home office (like mugs, mousepads, art, etc). But, I’ve never seen anything like this before. And I am in love.
A company called SkyArt (who I have no commercial relationship with) sells airplane seat office chairs.
Airplane seat office chairs? Yes. That’s the right.
Maybe all of you already knew about this awesomeness and I’ve just been sitting over here in ignorant bliss, but wow. These are so fricking cool. They have several different options available and I’ve provided some examples below (mind you, I have no relationship with this company so I don’t get any compensation if you happen to like them as much as I do).
These guys actually sell all kinds of travel inspired – really airplane inspired – “stuff.” From desks to fuselages, to chairs, trolley carts and everything in between, they have a collection of items that airplane nerds can totally geek out on.
If you’ve not yet bought a gift for the travel lover in our website you should use our gift guide for travelers (of course) for inspiration, but you may also want to consider the folks at SkyArt who have some of the coolest stuff I’ve ever seen.
The only downside is that’s a little bit of a pain to buy from them as they don’t appear to have a good e-commerce situation set up. Ugh…but that’s ok. The extra hassle will probably be worth it.
